This piece was inspired by the quote from the Oscar winning film Moonlight: "In moonlight, black boys look blue." This bold portrait celebrates the radiant beauty of Black skin, with layered and distinctive blue tones that incorporate oceans and evoke the idea of cleansing.
The staging of the subject explores the relationship between human identity and natural elements. My signature approach involves creating art prints through transforming and layering nature photography to create a vibrant, almost tactile fabric quality that bridges the organic and artistic.
Each print is individually signed and printed on acid-free fine art paper with archival quality inks.
