Product Description
A celebration of natural abundance, this still life captures the sensuous forms and symbolism of colonial history, diaspora and cultural hybridity of Black British identity. Tropical papayas native to tropical regions including parts of Africa and the Caribbean represent a connection to homelands, which are juxtaposed alongside pears, more commonly associated with European cultivation. The presence of tropical fruits in British markets reflecting migration patterns. Each fruit contains a patchwork of textures derived from my signature technique of transforming nature photography into individual art prints and textures. The warm background creates a striking contrast with lime greens, resulting in a rich tapestry of natural elements that highlight the relationship between form and texture in the natural world.
Each print is individually signed and printed on acid-free fine art paper with archival quality inks.
Limited edition art print, signed and unframed.
